  • These past 4 years since becoming a mom have been a whirlwind, and I've honestly been in “survival mode.” But after having my last baby, I knew the habits I created now in this stage of life were so important, as we establish a new normal for my family of 5!  And as most of you know, I recently committed to making exercise part of my life again. But as I've started this journey, I've also realized just how much room for improvement I have when it comes to the way my family eats! Because so much of our health revolves around the food we put into our bodies, and I've never been great at planning meals, let alone healthy ones! I have constantly told myself the excuse that, one day, when I had more time, I'd get better at it. As long as there was something edible on the table for my kids, I'd call it a success. My kids (and even my husband and I) have lived off of chicken nuggets and mac n' cheese, and while I knew it wasn't the worst thing on earth, I felt a lot of guilt about not offering healthier options more regularly! - That is, until recently, when I discovered a program called Take Back the Kitchen which has totally transformed the way my family eats!! It’s a weekly meal plan + grocery list created by a registered dietitian. She creates healthy, family-friendly recipes, which get delivered to your inbox every week, and has been such an unexpected blessing for my family!   • 4 months with our Rosemary! She is by far our most chill, sweet, and quiet babe! The only time she cries is in the night when she hates sleeping😂😭 Her thighs are filling out quite nicely and she still seems to be holding onto that hair🤞🏼Can’t imagine life without this precious babe of mine! I’m loving every second (minus that whole “night crying” thing😂)!❤️#rosieposiegrows

  • Over the past week I’ve been asked at least a couple dozen times HOW I find time to workout. So, I thought I’d share here. - First, let me tell you, this was one of my biggest concerns when I first decided I was going to commit to join a bootcamp after baby #3. I was worried that even if I WANTED to do the workouts, it just wasn’t going to happen as a SAHM with a 4 year-old, 2 year-old and a newborn. - BUT, I committed anyways. The first week was a little rough. I literally had to stop halfway through my very first workout to nurse the baby. But, after the first week, I found myself getting into a good groove. As soon as I put the baby down for her nap in the morning (which was usually her longest), I would set my big kids up with the iPad or my phone in the basement with me. YEP, I LET THEM HAVE SCREENTIME. And do you know how much shame I feel about it? NONE. ZERO. ZILCH. Because adding exercise back into my life after having baby #3 has MADE ME A BETTER PERSON. The endorphins truly make me a nicer wife & mama😆And also, 30 minutes of screentime NEVER KILLED ANYBODY. (Don’t be mislead though, my workouts still get interrupted a bunch of times even w/the screens).🤷🏼‍♀️ - And the second hurdle I had to overcome other than finding the time was finding the ENERGY after being up all night with the baby. But I tried something new and invested in a pre-workout supplement for the first time ever (you may have seen me post about it recently), and it has honestly been Heaven-sent for me! I used to think “pre-workouts” were just for those super intense ripped gym junkies. I also thought it would make me feel weird or jittery or something. But the one I use doesn’t do either of those things. It’s all natural & safe to take while breastfeeding and gives me just enough of a boost to crush my workouts (posted a link to it in my profile👍🏼). - And lastly, let me reiterate that I only workout 4 times per week for 30 mins!! That is a huge factor in why I’ve been successful!! I think it’s so important to find a program that you love and adds joy rather than stress to your life!👊🏼
