Once upon a time, I had one baby, and I thought life was busy. And yet, I had time to sit and write on this blog during my free time while baby napped.
Fast forward 3 years and 2 more babies later, and “free time” is no longer a part of my vocabulary. I’ve been living in pure survival mode. I’m talking, picking up just enough toys so we can walk through the living room, making sure there’s a diaper somewhere in the van before leaving the house, and attempting to scrounge up something edible in the fridge a few times a day for my kids.
And when those things happen, I call the day a success.
I’m not complaining. I absolutely love this life I’m living and feel blessed that I get to be “mama” to my 3 beautiful children. The messes and constant needs are just a reality of the stage of life I’m in. I know it won’t last forever. But after having my 3rd and final baby, I also knew it was important for me to start instilling good habits NOW, both for myself, and my entire family, so that one day when we come up for air on the other end of this, we aren’t completely falling apart at the seams.
Luckily, a couple months after having baby #3, I was introduced to a new workout program that was actually feasible and SUSTAINABLE as a stay-at-home mom with 3 young kiddos. So, I decided to give it a shot, and it has been such an unexpectant blessing in my life! However, it was also an eye-opener for me on how much I needed to improve not only my nutrition, but my whole family’s as well!
Because the reality is, I am the determining factor in the way my family eats. In our household, I do all of the grocery shopping and most of the cooking. And it’s something I have not done a great job of. It seems that I’ve been so busy trying to just SURVIVE these past few years, that I just haven’t had time to plan out healthy meals or even ANY meals on a regular basis.
Instead, I’ve constantly found myself scrambling to get something on the table for dinner, constantly making trips to the grocery store for a few last-minute ingredients, or just resorting to fast food when I didn’t have the energy to try and figure out what to make at the end of a long day. My kids have lived off of Mac n’ cheese, PB&J, and chicken nuggets. And while I know those things aren’t bad in moderation, I’ve felt guilt over not making our health more of a priority. Because the truth is, our nutrition affects us, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Our health transcends every aspect of our lives! I can especially attest to this with small kiddos (Fact: poor food options DO in fact turn kiddos into tiny terrorists).
And after talking with so many friends, I know I’m not the only one who struggles to get healthy meals on the table for my family.
That’s why I HAD to share this amazing program I discovered with you all. It was created in partnership with Beachbody, the company I have been doing my workout programs through, and it has truly CHANGED the way my family eats!!
It’s called Take Back the Kitchen. It is a weekly meal planning subscription, created by a registered dietician, who plans out healthy meals for your family!
As a member of the Take Back The Kitchen community, you will receive the following:
+ 4 Weeks of Healthy Family Friendly Menus from a Registered Dietitian with complete grocery lists
+ Meal Prep Tips from our Registered Dietitian!
+ Daily Access to our Registered Dietitian inside our Members Facebook group where you can ask questions!
+ A month’s supply of one of our nutritional products!
This program has been such a blessing for my family! Not only does it save me money on groceries each week, because I know exactly what things I need to buy at the store (and don’t end up with a bunch of unused or forgotten ingredients in the fridge), but it has also saved me so much time on grocery trips and scrambling to find meal ideas every night!
It gives me piece of mind knowing I’m feeding my family a variety of healthy foods each week, and teaching them good eating habits from an early age!
So, if you’d like to learn more about how to purchase a membership to TBTK, have any questions, or would like to try a week of menus fro FREE, simply fill out the form below, and I will email you all the details!
I am so excited to share this program with you, and truly hope it will bless your family like it has blessed mine!
